What is Nurse Delegation?
Nurse Delegation is a program under Washington State law, which allows a caregiver to complete tasks that would normally be handled by a nurse. A Registered Nurse Delegator (RND) must then delegate each client care task to the caregiver. More commonly, nurse delegation occurs in a community setting where certified caregivers perform daily care-related tasks for clients. These can take place in adult family homes, assisted living facilities, residential programs for people with developmental disabilities, or a client’s home.
Beth Paul is the owner operator of IITRN. She is a registered nurse in the state of Washington. She holds a contract for nurse delegation services with Washington DHS.
